Photo Books? Are there any you recommend for photography in general and DSLR in particular?

The title of this post is a question that was emailed to me. I thought that I'd make my response a blog post.

I know of a lot of good ones, but it depends on the type of things you'd like to learn: Posing, Lighting, General, Video, etc.

However, I have listed several options for you below.................

want to get into but the book for $15 should help.
